APPRENTICESHIP

Learning the art of holding psychedelic spaces

A unique 3-months journey combining online mentoring with immersive, hands-on learning and practice.

Join the Next Cohort

The Apprenticeship Path opens twice a year, in January and September, allowing us to welcome each new cohort with the presence, care and individual attention that this way of learning asks for.

The next cohort begins in January 2027.

Four women are in a living room with wooden floors. One woman is on all fours with tattoos on her legs and is dressed in black. Two women are standing and looking at her; one has long dark hair and wears a maroon top and jeans, the other has blonde hair and wears a gray blouse and cream-colored pants. The fourth woman is near the door, adjusting her clothing. The room is decorated with a guitar, large gong, and other musical instruments, with natural light coming through the windows.
A woman wearing a headscarf is sitting on the floor, playing a musical instrument with metal tines. In front of her are various musical instruments and objects, including a clay pot, a set of pipes, and small percussion instruments, on a white furry rug.

More Than a Training

There is growing interest in psychedelic-assisted healing, yet learning to facilitate transformational experiences requires far more than knowledge alone.

At Mystic Retreats, we believe this work is learned through relationship, experience and practice.

Holding space is an art.

It asks us to cultivate presence, humility, discernment and the capacity to remain grounded while accompanying others through moments of profound vulnerability and transformation.

Our apprenticeship exists where grounded therapeutic practice meets the mystic realms.

Drawing from psychology, trauma-informed practice, nervous system awareness, ritual, energy work and years of hands-on facilitation, we invite you into a living learning environment where theory becomes embodied experience.

Rather than simply teaching techniques, we support you in developing your own way of holding space—with integrity, authenticity and deep respect for the mystery of the healing process.

A Path, Not a Destination

We do not believe that a single training can prepare someone to hold the full complexity of psychedelic and transformational spaces.

The art of accompanying others through profound experiences asks for ongoing learning, personal development, practice, supervision and a willingness to continue meeting the edges of our own understanding.

This three-month apprenticeship is not designed to turn someone into a fully formed psychedelic facilitator, nor is it a substitute for professional therapeutic, clinical or psychedelic-assisted training where these qualifications are required.

Instead, we see it as a meaningful step on a longer path.

For some, it may deepen work they are already doing as therapists, coaches, facilitators or space holders—bringing greater presence, embodiment, soul and a deeper understanding of the relational and mystical dimensions of this work.

For others, it may be an important first step: an opportunity to encounter the reality of this path and begin to understand what further learning, practice and personal development it may ask of them.

We do not believe in sending people away from a short training with the idea that they are now ready to hold the most vulnerable and profound experiences of others.

Instead, we hope this apprenticeship helps you develop greater discernment about where you are, what you already bring, and where your own path is asking you to grow.

Sometimes the most valuable outcome of learning is not feeling that we have arrived, but recognising how much more there is to learn.

This is why we place humility, ethics, personal practice and ongoing development at the heart of the apprenticeship.

The path of becoming a space holder is not something we complete. It is a relationship we continue to deepen throughout our lives.

How the Apprenticeship Unfolds

Rather than following a traditional curriculum, this apprenticeship is built around direct experience, reflection and mentorship.

It offers a balance of personal practice, group learning and immersion in a real retreat environment, allowing you to deepen both your own journey and your capacity to hold others.

The apprenticeship includes:

  • Two online cohort calls exploring facilitation, ethics, case studies and the realities of holding transformational spaces.

  • A small-group learning environment where questions, reflection and shared experiences become an essential part of the journey.

  • A four-day immersive retreat, where you'll experience one psilocybin ceremony as a participant and assist in holding another alongside our facilitation team.

  • A two-day hands-on practice and learning immersion, taking place one or two days after the group retreat. This training is creating space to integrate the retreat experience and deepen practical skills, learning and understanding of the work.

  • A one-day online training.

  • One online call of one-to-one mentoring (90 minutes).

  • OPTIONAL 1:1 ceremony work & healer’s initiation journey for those wishing to deepen their personal process and receive more personalised guidance.

Rather than offering all the answers, we invite you into an ongoing inquiry—learning through observation, experience, reflection and relationship with experienced facilitators and your fellow apprentices.

Who Is This For?

This apprenticeship may be for you if you...

  • Feel called to support others through transformational and psychedelic experiences.

  • Are a therapist, coach, facilitator or healthcare professional looking to deepen your practice.

  • Already hold space for others and recognise the importance of continuing your own personal work.

  • Feel drawn to an approach that integrates grounded therapeutic practice with the mystic realms.

  • Value learning through direct experience, mentorship and community rather than theory alone.

  • Wish to deepen your understanding of ethics, presence and the subtle art of facilitation.

  • Are curious about this path, even if you're only beginning to explore it.

No previous experience facilitating psychedelic retreats is required. What matters most is curiosity, humility and a genuine commitment to your own growth.

To protect the integrity of the group and ensure the apprenticeship is the right fit for everyone involved, all applications are carefully reviewed through our screening process before a place is offered.

The center of the room has neatly arranged white cushions with black round bolsters on each, placed on small white mats, indicating a space designated for seated meditation or yoga practice. The warm lighting from a wall sconce adds to the peaceful ambiance.

Learning From Those Who Walk the Path

This apprenticeship is not a large-scale training or a programme designed to move you through a fixed curriculum from a distance.

You will learn alongside people who have been walking this path for years—through real experience, ongoing practice and the responsibility of sitting with others in profound and vulnerable moments.

There is something we deeply value in the ancient nature of apprenticeship: learning in relationship with someone whose work you can witness, learn from and ask questions of. Not simply being taught about the work, but coming close enough to see how it is actually lived.

Throughout the journey, you will be guided individually as well as within the group. You will have space to bring your own questions, edges and intentions, and to receive guidance that meets you where you are.

This is not about being handed a formula for how to hold space.

It is about learning through experience, observation, practice and relationship—while being supported for a moment by people who can share what they have learned along the way.

In many ways, this apprenticeship is a return to something older: the way knowledge has often been passed from one person to another, through time spent together, shared experience and the gradual unfolding of trust.

You are not simply joining a training.

For a while, you are walking alongside us.

    Aga

Aga is a psychotherapist, soul guide and psychedelic integration practitioner whose work brings together body, mind and spirit.

For over a decade, her path has been shaped by a deep exploration of healing, consciousness and the mystery of being human. Her work weaves together embodied psychotherapy, trauma-informed practice, psychedelic integration, ritual, shamanic and esoteric teachings, energy work and contemplative practice.

She has facilitated more than 1,000 hours of individual therapeutic work and has spent years holding and supporting people through profound inner transitions, both individually and in groups. Her approach is grounded in careful attention to the body, nervous system and relational field, while remaining open to the deeper dimensions of soul, mystery and transformation.

Alongside her therapeutic training, Aga's path has been shaped through years of study and practice within shamanic, mystery school and earth-based traditions, as well as teachings exploring energy, ritual and feminine and womb wisdom. Rather than following a single methodology, her work continues to evolve through study, lived experience, ceremony and an ongoing commitment to her own inner practice.

At the heart of her work is a deep devotion to creating spaces where people can meet themselves honestly and fully. She is particularly passionate about the potential of the group field—creating spaces that support the individual while allowing something larger to emerge through relationship, shared presence and collective transformation.

She meets people with authenticity, compassion, kindness and gentleness, while deeply honouring the intelligence and uniqueness of each person's process.

Her background includes training in psychotherapy and trauma, psychedelic integration, coaching and group facilitation, alongside extensive study in shamanic, energetic and mystery traditions. Her learning continues through ongoing practice, study, relationship and experience.

    Lynn

A trauma-informed therapist, soul mentor and facilitator of transformational healing journeys. With a background in medicine, trauma therapy and ceremonial healing work, she guides people back to the truth of who they are beneath layers of survival, conditioning and emotional pain. Her approach is intuitive, deeply compassionate and rooted in the belief that true healing happens when the body, emotions, mind and soul are all included in the process.

Her work combines trauma-informed therapy, regression work, emotional release, energy healing and psilocybin-assisted ceremonies into a unique and highly personalized healing experience. Rather than following rigid structures, she works attuned to the person in front of her, creating spaces in which people feel emotionally safe enough to soften, open and transform.

She facilitates 1-on-1 sessions, retreats, ceremonies and group experiences that invite deep inner healing, soul remembrance and reconnection with purpose. Known for her grounded presence and ability to hold space for both vulnerability and transformation, she supports people in moving through the deeper layers of themselves with gentleness, honesty and care.

Her path has been shaped by both the medical world (M.D.) and alternative healing traditions (Numinus Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy training), allowing her to bridge science, spirituality and intuitive healing in a way that feels practical, human and deeply transformative.
